Machu Picchu
Today was one of the most amazing and exciting days during our trip :) we saw Machu Picchu! We got up around 4am and at 7am we put a first step in the Lost City of the Incas. It is hard to describe what we have experienced. Usually there are not many people in the early morning so u can really feel the atmosphere. We share some photos and we hope that they help you to see and feel the magic of this place.
Ollantaytambo - on the way to Machu Picchu
The first stop is Ollantaytambo, a small village two hours away from Cuzco. Ollantaytambo is the best surviving example of inca city planning. It is located between two spectacular Inca ruins. We are staying here only one night so unfortunately we don´t have enough time to see everything. However, we climbed up on the top of the main mountain here and had the opportunity to visit a house of local people where we met lovely cuyos (guinea pigs)
Pawel feels guilty now because he ate one of them in Cuzco....
We were also lucky enough to see traditional wedding!!! ;)
enjoy photos
