Ollantaytambo - on the way to Machu Picchu

The first stop is Ollantaytambo, a small village two hours away from Cuzco. Ollantaytambo is the best surviving example of inca city planning. It is located between two spectacular Inca ruins. We are staying here only one night so unfortunately we don´t have enough time to see everything. However, we climbed up on the top of the main mountain here and had the opportunity to visit a house of local people where we met lovely cuyos (guinea pigs) Pawel feels guilty now because he ate one of them in Cuzco.... We were also lucky enough to see traditional wedding!!! ;) enjoy photos

it is time for Cuzco

It's hard to describe how beautiful Cuzco is. It is a mixed of outstanding architecture, delicious cuisine and amazing people from all around the world. You can also observe ladies walking with llamas down the cobblestone streets. All these give you absolutely unforgettable athmosphere of the Inca Empire. The next stop Machu Picchu.

Pichanaki

We spent two absolutely amazing days in Pichanaki a small town located in Chanchamayo province in central part of Peru-known also as Selva Central. However, it is not easy to get there. First we had to take a bus to La Merced and then a taxi. The whole trip took around 11 hours but it was worth our time. We expierienced breathtaking landscapes and mouthwatering food. Pichanaki is also one of the largest coffee producing towns in Peru. Thanks to Pedro Rodriguez Pariona we also had the opportunity to visit one coffee plantation and participate in the process of production. We are sharing some photos.
